This past year has been one for the books, folks! Our not-so-little man hit the big 1-3, and let me tell you, nothing prepares you for the adventure of parenting a teenager. From voice cracks that could rival a squeaky toy to growth spurts that had us buying new shoes every other week, it’s been a wild ride. But oh, the milestones we’ve celebrated!
And speaking of milestones, our oldest son just added a few major ones to the family scrapbook. He strutted across that high school graduation stage with honors, leaving behind a trail of achievements that had us bursting with pride.
Now, he’s embarked on a new chapter at our local state university, and boy, is it a rollercoaster! He’s loving the taste of independence, but the college workload has him realizing that high school was just the warm-up act.
And let’s not forget our four-legged family member, who’s been providing comic relief (and the occasional shoe casualty) throughout it all. Pro tip: Never leave your favorite sneakers unattended when you have a bored dog and a distracted teen in the house. Trust me on this one!
Podcasting and Producing: A Year of Growth
On the professional front, it’s been a year of exciting challenges and growth. Our podcast has been gaining traction, and I’ve had the privilege of producing shows for some amazing clients. Each episode feels like a new adventure, and I’m constantly in awe of the stories we get to share and the connections we make.
Coaching and Community: More Than Just a Game
Speaking of connections, coaching football has been an incredible journey of its own. There’s something magical about watching young athletes grow, not just in their skills but as individuals. It’s reminded me that sometimes, the best life lessons happen outside the house (and away from dad’s embarrassing jokes).

As we step into the new year, I’m brimming with excitement for what’s to come:
