Words, words, words…
I love games, and I’m trying to pass that on to my kids as well. So, we play whatever games interest them, and it’s great to watch them gaining interest as each year passes.
So, today is National Scrabble Day; and once again we play with words. We put together the succession of letters they know, and then make up words just for the fun of it.
Beyond the “usual” Scrabble game, we can play with the pieces in so many different ways:
- Put the tiles in alphabetical order, racing to be the first to get our tiles in the right order.
- Use all the tiles to randomly make as many words as possible.
- We play other Hasbro games: Monopoly, Twister, Jenga, Operation, Trouble, Simon, Hungry Hungry Hippo, Battleship, Connect 4, Clue, Sorry!, Catch Phrase, Candy Land, etc.
How do you celebrate National Scrabble Day? What creative ways do you have of playing with words with your kids? And, which word games do you prefer?
